Cellarsclough "McNaughted" Beam Engine. This is the largest engine in the collection. Thought to be built about 1870. In 1908 Woodhouse and Mitchell of Sowerby Bridge undertook the "McNaughting" of the engine, converting it to a Vertical cross-compound engine.
Twin Beam engine believed to date from about 1840. Ran until 1953! Develops 30 horse-power at 40 rpm, using steam at 10 lbs/sq in
